The Program
The goal of the Beginner Fencing Classes is to provide
high quality fencing program for students of all ages. The program
is designed to appeal to students of varying capabilities and
interests.
This class will introduce students to the basics of fencing in a safe and fun environment . Emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, manners and work ethics. Introduction includes conditioning, footwork, blade drills, fencing with electric scoring equipment and individual instruction.
Times and Dates
This ongoing class is offered in two month sessions (7 weeks).
Fridays

4:30-6:00PM every Friday
BEGINNER YOUTH 12 (boys and girls ages 10–12)
6:00 – 7:30PM every Friday

Print Beginner Class Schedule
Cost
The fee for the each class session is $275 (seven weeks/two months).
Class is limited to approximately the first 12 fencers. All sessions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please register quickly so you have the best chance of getting into the session of your choice.
To apply complete the class registration form and send it with full payment by
check.
Membership
ZFS membership is not required for the beginning classes.
Equipment
Students should wear long loose fitting sweat pants, t-shirt and clean sneakers.
All fencing equipment will be provided.
Refunds
There will be no refunds for missed class time due to illness, transportation
problems or other valid personal reasons.
Cancellations for Beginning classes will be accepted before 2nd class of session. $35 one-day class fee applies.
Discipline
In order to maintain a healthy, productive and safe environment, all students will be required to exhibit appropriate behavior.
Make-Up Classes
Make-up classes will be scheduled as needed.
